Battery Tips
- New APPLE A1342batteries are shipped in a discharged condition and must be charged before use. We generally recommend an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours). Refer to the user's manual for charging instructions. Rechargeable APPLE A1342 batteries should be cycled - fully charged and then fully discharged - two to four times initially to allow them to reach their full capacity.
- Try to avoid frequent full discharging of the APPLE A1342 batteries.
- It is normal to get warm when charging or normal use the APPLE A1342 batteries. If it is getting too hot, there may be a problem with the device and qualified personnel should check it.
- If you don't plan on using the replacement A1342 battery for a month or more, we recommend storing it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects.
- To get maximum performance from the APPLE A1342 batteries, fully optimize the notebooks power management features prior to use.
