    • Battery Tips

    • New IBM ASM10L2158batteries are shipped in a discharged condition and must be charged before use. We generally recommend an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours). Refer to the user's manual for charging instructions. Rechargeable IBM ASM10L2158 batteries should be cycled - fully charged and then fully discharged - two to four times initially to allow them to reach their full capacity.
    • Try to avoid frequent full discharging of the IBM ASM10L2158 batteries.
    • It is normal to get warm when charging or normal use the IBM ASM10L2158 batteries. If it is getting too hot, there may be a problem with the device and qualified personnel should check it.
    • If you don't plan on using the replacement ASM10L2158 battery for a month or more, we recommend storing it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects.
    • To get maximum performance from the IBM ASM10L2158 batteries, fully optimize the notebooks power management features prior to use.
