    Battery Tips

    • New SONY VGP-BPL5Abatteries are shipped in a discharged condition and must be charged before use. We generally recommend an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours). Refer to the user's manual for charging instructions. Rechargeable SONY VGP-BPL5A batteries should be cycled - fully charged and then fully discharged - two to four times initially to allow them to reach their full capacity.
    • Try to avoid frequent full discharging of the SONY VGP-BPL5A batteries.
    • It is normal to get warm when charging or normal use the SONY VGP-BPL5A batteries. If it is getting too hot, there may be a problem with the device and qualified personnel should check it.
